Who can attend?
This retreat is open to young Roman Catholic women, discerning a religious vocation and desiring to deepen a Christian contemplative prayer practice.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, the suggested age range is 22 - early 40's.
Do I have to be Catholic to attend?
The primary focus of the Monastic Experience Weekend is to aid in discernment of a religious or monastic vocation in the Roman Catholic Church. However you do not have to be a Roman Catholic to attend. Please note that in order to become a sister in our monastery, you must already be or willing to become a Roman Catholic.
However the Summer Internship Program has a different focus. There is no necessity to be Catholic. We do require that the participant respect Roman Catholic Liturgical traditions.
What does it cost?
There are no fees for these retreats.
How are Online Retreats held?
Online retreats are held via Zoom. A day before the scheduled retreat, you will receive a Zoom Meeting Link via email.
How do I apply for an Online Retreat?

How do I get there?
The easiest way to get here is by car. The closest airport to us is Eureka/Arcata Airport which is about 2.5 hours away. Amtrak bus stops in Garberville CA which is about 40 minutes from the monastery. Before deciding on travel arrangements, it is best to contact us at the monastery
Do I have to share a room (applies to Monastic Experience Weekend and Internship)?
No. Each retreatant has her own room.
